The history of Save the Duck down jacket

The Forest textile brand was created in 1914 by Foresto Bargi. The Save the Duck brand was born in 2012 as an offshoot (later autonomous) of Forest by the work of Nicolas Bargi, grandson of Foresto.

Respect for animals and environmental sustainability

Nicolas Bargi is a very young Italian entrepreneur who in that year managed to successfully create the first 100% eco-sustainable and cruelty-free Down Jacket entirely made with synthetic materials without the use of goose feathers or any animal derivation such as leather, fur or feather. The company calculated that over two million geese were saved from the fashion market in 2016 alone. The brand's goal is to safeguard animals, the environment, but also the human beings who work behind the brand.

In July 2019, Save the Duck became the first fashion brand in Italy to obtain certification as the best performer in terms of environmental and social attention. In the same year, it became B Corp, a certification assigned to all those companies that reach high and verified standards in the social and environmental fields, public transparency and legal responsibility. Save the Duck is a 100% animal-free company aimed at all those who are sensitive to environmental issues and who aim at a sustainable life. Not only love for nature and the environment but also attention to equity and human rights.

Parka and Down Jackets Save the Duck

Save the Duck mainly produces Down Jackets, Parkas and Raincoats, but also Bodywarmers, Rain Jackets, field jackets and accessories such as Hats, Backpacks, Boots and men's Cosmetic Bags.

Thanks to PLUMTECH technology (a special wadding entirely made of polyester fibres from recycling sources, such as plastic bottles), Save the Duck garments, are warm, breathable and comfortable, ideal for sportsmen, for adventure. They are lightweight despite the thermal thickness so as not to impede movement and to be comfortably folded in their special bag and also stored in the backpack, if necessary.

The garments are guaranteed Easycare, for easy washing and quick-drying, without fear of damaging the fabrics.
